FAQ

When does the trip start?

Check in is from 5pm from all our base ports such as Athens ,Leukada , Mykonos , Santorini, Corfu, Kos, Zante. Departures are every Saturday

What time do the trips finish?

We ask all our passengers to disembark by 8:30am the following Saturday to allow us time to clean the yacht before the next departure. Detailed directions to the marina will be emailed to you when you book your tour.

What about food and drink?

Food and drink is not included. Each yacht is equipped with a kitchenette including gas stove, oven and kettle. There is a small grocery store at Mykonos Port as well as the many stops during the week. This way you can pick out exactly the food you’ll prefer for breakfast and lunch at sea.

In the evenings you’ll have a wide variety of restaurant options. Greece has delicious, locally-grown food, and your skippers and tour managers will be happy to recommend the perfect restaurant for your group.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

Our yachts feature mostly double cabins with some twin cabins on the larger yachts. For Gullets and Ships the cabins are generally twin share. Note that the skipper will sleep in a cabin or in the salon if required.

Are bed linen and towels included?

Yes they are, however the towels are for indoor/shower use only – you’ll need to bring your own beach towel for outdoors.

What kind of luggage can I bring?

While you’re welcome to bring whatever kind of luggage you like, we recommend bringing a soft-sided bag such as a backpack, rucksack or duffel bag. Soft-style bags can be stowed away under the floorboards, giving you more room during the week.

What are the mooring costs?

Mooring buoys (estimated 20-50 Euro per night) offer seclusion and privacy. Marinas (40-80 euro per night) have cafes, restaurants, showers & toilet facilities along with shore power and fresh-water refills for the yacht. In our experience a mixture of the all options gives the best balance through the week for most groups.

Who are Private Yacht Tours suitable for?

Private Yacht Tours are suitable for couples looking for a romantic week away, families or groups of friends wanting to do something completely independent

What ages are suitable for a Private Yacht Tours?

All ages are welcome onboard our yachts although practically it is recommended children are able to swim and additional considerations be taken into account such as moving around the yachts, moving booms and ropes, slippery surfaces, boarding and crossing from shore to the yacht. Risks are clearly visible and additional precautions should be taken with children onboard particularly for non-swimmers. For all children onboard we recommend you bring with you well fitted children life jackets and harness with tether system. Remember it is hot in July and August so wearing a life jacket may cause overheating and children to be uncomfortable. Inflatable life jackets with a tether maybe a more suitable option for children. We also recommend the use of nets which go around the yacht and we can organise this at the time of booking.
